US Army Corps of Engineers 404 Permit

The LLD was created as a requirement of the US Army Corps of Engineers Permit that allowed this development to be created.  The permit required long-term protection of Wetlands, Wildlife Corridors, Elderberry Bushes, and Protected Cultural Resource Areas (PCRs).  The protected features are identified in the map above.  If you have questions about the protection requirements of any of these areas, please contact the Greenhorn Creek Owners LLD Committee for clarification.

Lighting, Landscaping, and Trail Work

In Addition to the 404 permit protected areas, the LLD maintains common area landscaping, Lighting, trails, the three monument signs and pedistal lights.

Defensible Space Clearing

While the wildlife corridors are permit protected areas and intended to be left in a natural state with no human interaction, we are allowed to conduct defensible space clearing within these corridors.  The LLD will conduct defensible space clearing, as required by the City of Angels Fire Marshall, within 100 feet of a home.  The LLD cannot do work on private property.
